Avg won't open in safe mode

I can't open avg to scan in safe mode. I get a box but no content. I'm using windows 7.  Also can I use avg to remove S.ying

Hello Craig. Thank you for contacting us. In safe mode, you can not run AVG as you do in normal mode like accessing different options from the interface.
