This isn't the experience we want you to have and I apologize for the inconvenience. Please use AVG Clear tool mentioned in this article and remove the traces.
After the restart, please click the link to install AVG Antivirus updated version.
I'm running the free version of AVG on Windows 10. I've tried the repair option to try and fix AVG, but nothing works.
When I click the update button, it tells me it's already up to date.
I can uninstall and re-install to get the latest version, but I'm getting a bit sick of having to do this every time there's a new release as it still doesn't fix the problem. I've also tried the AVG remove tool, but it didn't even find AVG to remove in the first place.
I've been a long time user of AVG, but if this issue isn't fixed (and I can see I'm not the only one from my google searching of this issue) I'm afraid I'll have to look elsewhere for my anti-virus needs.
