Avg won't update

Hi,
First up - thanks very much for your incredibly prompt response. Using the AVG remover has done the trick. I've redownloaded my AVG programs and they are updating as per normal. Running all the preliminary scans and everything seems as it should.

Thanks very much.
Kind regards,
Matt

Hello Dream,
We regret for the inconvenience caused. Please check whether you have installed any other conflicting applications like McAfee, Avast, Norton etc… on your PC, If so please uninstall the conflicting applications.
If not, please  click this link http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe to download and run the AVG Remover tool to remove all the traces of the AVG.
1. Please select the AVG products which are shown in the remover tool window and then start removal process.
2. After the remover tool process is successfully finished, restart your computer.
3. After the restart,  manually delete the AVG Remover folder in the C drive of My computer.

My AVG protection Pro won't update. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it. It tells me my verification code is active. I've tried removing it and installing Avast (free copy) for a month, reinstalling it but nothing has changed. My AVG Tune Up still works fine but the net security and computer antivirus are still not working, Automatic repairs do nothing. I just get a message box in the lower righthand corner telling me "General Error".

  1. Once uninstalled download the installation file using the link : http://www.avg.com/download to reinstall your AVG program.
    5. Run the downloaded file to start the installation process.
    6. Follow the instructions on your screen.
    7. Complete the installation and restart your computer.
If you are still facing any error message please provide us with the screenshot so that we could analyze the issue more better. Please follow the instructions on the article http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot to create the screenshot.
Please feel free to get back to us for further assistance.
    Thank you.
