I have tried everything and have the same problem as I saw in a chain from the summer.  AVG will not update I have used AVG for literally 15 years on multiple computers and never had this happen before please help -  my hope is that it is on your side

Hi and Thank you for getting back to me - I have uninstalled and reinstalled AVG now  but I am still not fully protected it is now saying that my resident shield is not active I have no idea what this is and when I try to "fix it" I get a message saying that the fix didn't work.  Not sure what to do next
