AVG Zen App Crashing on BLU R1 HD

Hello Sam,

Thank you.

I recently purchased one of those new BLU R1 HD phones from Amazon and installed AVG Zen on the device so that I could manage my Zen network from the phone.

Zen app crashes whenever I select "Anti-Theft" and after entering my AVG Password with the message "Unfortunately, AVG Zen has stopped".

At present, I am unable to use any of the Anti-Theft options/functionality in this app making it fairly useless.  I did not have this problem on my other phone a ZTE.

Is this problem specific to this device?  I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app several times.  I have also made sure the app has all the permissions it needs to run properly.

I am running Android 6.0  Thank you in advance for any advance for any insight you could provide me,

Sam

Hi Balasubramanian,

My earlier post that you noted was specific to the web-browser access (AVG Mobilation) and the fact that no-one could log on.  At that time, you and others had responded that there was an issue on your side with authentication which was eventually fixed.

In this case, I am talking about the AVG Zen Android App which appears to be crashing on my android phone whenever I try to access the Anti-Theft features of the app.  Are you saying that the crashing has something to do with an underlying issue on the AVG Mobilation Website?  Please advise?  Just to check I was able to login to AVG Mobilation.

I just tried using AVG Zen on my ZTE phone and I was able to successfully get into the Anti-Theft section of the App and do a location search.  For some reason on my new BLU R1 HD, the AVG Zen app crashes if I try the same operation (e.g. try to access the Anti-Theft features).

That being said, I don't think this issue/question is a duplicate of the one I had posted earlier.  I would appreciate hearing back from you or someone else on the AVG Team, or any other forum user about any suggestions about what might be going wrong,

Thanks,

Sam
