Hello Phil,
Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Usually the AVG web tuneup plugin will get installed on Firefox add-ons list but on the Zen interface it will show that it has not installed, this is the known issue and the it is because of certification and a bug, our developers are working on this to fix it.
But in your case, the AVG web tuneup should get installed on either Google Chrome or on Internet Explorer.
Please check whether your Google Chrome is update to date and if not please update it and then try installing AVG Web tuneup.
Please change the default browser to Chrome and then try installing.
I recently updated my subscription to AVG Zenm and no matter which web browser I install as my default, Internet Explorer 11, Firefox 44.0.1 or Chrome. When trying to install Web TuneUp I get the same notice:
The plugin is not installed in my default browser, restart the browser and allow Web TuneUp to install.
And whether I use the 'Restart Browser' option on that page, or by actually closing and reopening the browser with the close button, I continually get the same message, this occurs on all my computers; two of which are running Windows 7 Pro, and one that has Windows 7 Home. I would like any information that would solve this problem for me.
