But that was really tricky. It wasn't done with just using the removal tool. Uninstallations of other AVG software failed, manual removing of a lot of folders and registry entrys were needed and so on…
Any user who do not have further knowledge in computers and especially windows would never get that running today.
The best answer (up till now) does not provide me with a simple solution to get TuneUp working under the new Zen/ AVG Pro umbrella. Please, give a simple procedure in listed steps. I do not want to have Support take over my computer to fix it.

AVG Zen did not activate my PC TuneUp 2014. I have a abonnement of AVG Performance.
On my computer at home, with Windows 8.1 and my mobile phone everything works fine.
But on this laptop here, it was a fight to install AVG Zen. As it did not worked, i only installed PC TuneUp 2014. Now i got it installed, but AVG PC TuneUp 2014 still report, that it's not activated.

Thanks for the link, now, i know what's the problem. But not how to solve it, that's now explained.
They say, there are some remnants from the old TuneUp Utilities 2014. But i need to know, where i have to look. The installation of AVG PC TuneUp uninstalled it during itselfs installation.
I already read that faq article from the linked thread. I went through the mentioned steps, but it didn't changed something.
