Hello AVG, Is AVG ZEN is compulsary now ? Its like half decade of Using and updating the AVG, Last year it was possible to use it without the zen now ofline installer is bloated along with zen, Zen always interfares with another program, Now it is interfering with the IDM. Any solution? I dont want to leave avg it was alongside with my xp, 7, 8, and now 10 I dont think this is the end.

Sara Conley do you mind telling me which anticirus you moved over to? I'm having the same exact issues and I'm absolutely frustrated.
I used ran crap cleaner because I couldn't get the AVG Zen Version to uninstall. Nor, could I install the free version. So after CC completed, I was then able to install the free version.
I switched to Norton, in the mean time AVG might solve this Zen issue.
I tried to install AVG Zen (free) on my W7 Pro laptop. It appeared to install OK, but would not run, saying invalid licence details. I tried uninstalling - it would not. I downloaded and ran the AVG removal tool (not realising until later that there is no removal tool for Zen - only for 2015 and previous). It seemed to uninstall, however there are remnants. I tried installing Zen again, but get error 0xe001d012 - undocumented - "call support" No support for free users, of course. HELP!
I guess that my only option is to scratch install the PC as my Internet access is now affected - prohibiting access - proxy server problems. I tried resetting to default, to no avail.
I encountered a similar problem running W8.1.

Aravind, you are right. My patience is at an end. You reply on March 10th 2016 to a complaint raised on September 24th, 2015. Three month's for a basic support query. I will not be purchasing AVG, nor recommending it to the 600 small businesses I support.
Zen did not install properly. Your removal tool did not work (at the time) Perhaps you have improved both now.

I have gone throgh all the steps to remove AVG from my system then installed the free AVG, but AVG Zen still continues to install??
As a few people have said this is frustrating and im very patient but its starting to annoy the heck out of me now.

We are extremely sorry to keep you informed that from the latest update of the AVG program it is mandatory to install the Zen Interface along with the Free version of the AVG program. The offline installer is no more available for download.

This "AVG Zen" just stopped my League of Legends from working properly.
-1 customer for AVG. Instantly, until Zen is removed and this is fixed.
