AVG ZEN's PC Tune-Up never finishes Defraging....even hours later

I have hoped not to uninstall and reinstall…but now there are two updates that are "downloading" on this, and it has been almost half an hour.

I have had AVG in one form or another for many years, and recommended it to others. but this Zen/Ultimate is the most time-consuming version I have used.

It might be all me, but it should not take that long to download to updates, should it?

I am sorry to still bother you with this. I have used AVG products for years, and never had such problem.s I am not happy with the Zen version, but realize I could be doing something (or not understanding).
Would it help to uninstall and re-install the PC Tune-Up portion of this AVG Zen? I notice it was a separate download. I no longer have the download, it is deleted. but the program can be deleted.

Perhaps it needs to be re-installed?
Any advice much appreciated.

I recently perchased the AVG Zen, with it's PC Tune-UP.

The PC-Tune Up does fine till it gets to the Defragment, and it never completes. goes around and around and around for mega hours.

Finally closed it, but my computer is sluggish since then. Please Help? Thank you

I downloaded and ran the uninstall for my AVG Ultimate.  The "wheel" went round and round and round for a very long time.

I finally logged out totally and went to "Programs and Features" in my control panel to uninstall. When I tried to click on AVG to uninstall, it says before I can uninstall AVG Zen, I have to uninstall AVG PC Tuneup.

There is no listing for AVG PC Tuneup in my list of programs anymore. So I cannot "uninstall" it again.
I am beyond frustrated with this product. It has taken way too much time.

I have always recommended AVG but I am so lost here what to do next. How can I uninstall PC Tune up if I do  not have it. The removal tool went no where.

Please, I really need help. Thank you for your patiience.

Why does my AVG say I have AVG Zen? I apparently ordered AVG Ultimate. So they are the same thing?

I apologize for the confusion. I just did not realize Zen/Ultimate are the same?

If I re-install, will I need an order number to have it download again, or will it be automatic?

We are sorry about the inconvenience caused. The issue may be due to any older AVG components and you can fix it by uninstalling the older version using AVG Remover Tool and then reinstalling a new version.To resolve the issue, did you reinstall your AVG program by following the instructions in the recent 'post' by "Gulam Shaik Mohammed"? Upon reviewing, we see that you have AVG Ultimate  as active AVG products.
We would request you to run AVG remover tool to completely remove AVG and then re install it.  
Please  click this link http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe to download and "Run" the AVG Remover tool.
1. Please select the AVG products which are shown in the remover tool window and then start removal process.
2. After the remover tool process is successfully finished, restart your computer.
3. After the restart,  manually delete the AVG Remover folder in the C drive of My computer.

Thank you every one for all the help. I re-booted my computer, re-downloaded the AVG Remover, and this time it worked!!
