Hi Alan, thank you for your prompt response. The problem actually was a false positive from VirusTotal. I re-submitted the file avgidsagent.exe to them and now it looks clean:
https://www.virustotal.com/it/file/a26e4cdcdd946dfef62c010f93914aec8ad84bfb5a8b30703e63afe6b93e3292/analysis/
It was really weird to see an "infected AVG antivirus"… anyway, problem solved.
Thanks,
Fabrizio

AVG Free, Version: 15.0.0.5557 just installed (MD5 checksum is OK)
File: C:\Program Files (x86)\AVG\AVG2015\avgidsagent.exe
Sysinternal process explorer reports a VirusTotal rating of 1/54, instead of the usual 0/54.
SHA256: a26e4cdcdd946dfef62c010f93914aec8ad84bfb5a8b30703e63afe6b93e3292
For ByteHero it results infected by Trojan.Win32.Heur.Gen (last update = 2014-10-22 10:38:52 UTC)
False positive?
Cheers,
Fabrizio
