An email from AVG suggested that I could get 50% off AVG driver updater so I signed up and paid £14.99. I was asked Download my product by clicking on the green bar "Download now - AVG Driver Updater"
When doing this I was asked "Do you want to run or save avgdriverupdater.exe (0.98 MB) from s-drup.avcdn.net?" Run or Save
I clicked first on Run and then on Save and, on each occasion, received the message.
"avgdriverupdater.exe is unsafe to download and was blocked by Smart Screen Filter.
What I want to know is have I been conned and, if so, would you please refund my £14.99. This is disgraceful on the part of AVG.
Please reply immediately.
I have exactly the same problem. Windows doesn't allow me to deactivate the Smartscreen Defender. I've wasted 2 hours on this. Please provide a download my PC will accept.
