Hello Joshua,
This shouldn't be happening due to AVG.
Please (disable) AVG Antivirus free and check whether you are able to access the websites.
Keep us informed about the status.
My AVG won’t let me get on any websites it says that the certificates are expired
Joshua,
May I know if the issue persist irrespective of which web browser you use? I'd request you to disable AVG Web Shield alone and check if the issue persist to narrow down the issue.
Open AVG Anti Virus free.
Click on Menu -> Settings -> Components.
Toggle the On/Off slider to disabled individual components.
Click OK to save settings.
If the issue is resolved, please uninstall and re install AVG Web Shield. Click on 'down arrow' against Web shield component, click Uninstall, reboot and re install it.
Frank,
I understand this must be upsetting. The above requested information would help us narrow down the issue to which component of AVG is actually causing it. Also, it would be helpful for our senior technical team to analyze the issue better if provided with all the necessary information.
I can access websites when it’s on passive mode
I just installed AVG Free for the first time, and I'm already having the same problem as Joshua. I expected a hassle-free installation, not that I would have to go through all the steps you're describing, Avinash. I'm using Firefox.
