Update.

After 2 SHUTDOWNS and 4 attempts to END PROCESS.  I was able to finally get it to END PROCESS through the Task Manager.

Hello Joe. Could you please let me know which version of AVG (AVG 2014 or AVG 2015) are you using on your computer?

After 2 SHUTDOWNS and 4 attempts to END PROCESS.  I was able to finally get it to END PROCESS through the Task Manager.

This program has decided to consume 50% of my cpu and over 11,000 K of memory. This problem is unstoppable and unremovable.  I can not uninstall AVG at all. My computer is running Horribly now. Almost useless.
