Ouch, been facing the same issue here. Ive tried the full uninstall+avg remover but didnt work for me. What next? Change AV solution?

We'd request to uninstall AVG using AVG Clear and Remover tools as suggested in this article. Then, refer to instructions in this link to re install AVG Internet Security.

Yes I did this a week ago after I first met the problem.  It then cleared but returned yesterday.  This time re-installing the AVG programmes has reduced the issue but AVGSvc.exe is still using over 30% of the CPU at all time, increasing to over 50% at times.  What can I try next,  I have also changed AVG PC Tune Up.
