Are you able to open AVG Internet Security and AVG Password Protection apps without any issues? Please try to repair AVG PC TuneUp program and check if that resolves the issue. Click on this link for steps to perform repair.

Can not run AVG Tuneup after installation. I bought Internet Security with Password Protection and Tuneup (Performance)
Get the following error;

Yes. The AVG Internet Security and the Password Protection both open and seem to be working fine. (I had AVG Free before purchasing, FYI)
I tried the repair first, then re-installed, then uninstalled and re-installed again. Still same. After install it would show completion, then seemed to open, but stalled at a "buffer" type spinning circle. Re-install asked for re-boot, then gave error listed above when trying to run program.
If it means anything; some months ago, I tried the Tune up trial, but didn't purchase at the end of trial.

I would request you to download and run AVG Remover tool to remove the traces of PC TuneUp completely. Then repair or re install the Visual C++ Redistributables 2012.

https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/vcredist2012/vcredist_x64.exe for 64 bit windows.
https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/vcredist2012/vcredist_x86.exe for 32 bit windows.

NOTE: If it is a 64 bit OS, download and install both packages.

Then reinstall AVG TuneUp - Unlimited and check the issue.
