I considered that but I wasn't sure it I could do it safely. I once uninstalled McAffee wrong and had to reinstall windows completly as it prevented internet from opening

Hello Cynde. Have you tried Googling "Uninstall Baidu"?

Hello Cynde. I would recommend you to contact Baidu anti virus support to remove it completely from your PC.

this program has installed on my elderly computer and has no uninstaller. It sucks a fair amount of memory, the program has no English info when opened, only small squares where what I presume were Chinese characters that the comp doesnt recognise. It is not in add/remove programs. I've tried Malwarebytes, Advance systemcare,SUPERAntiSpyware, and unhackme which recognises it, says it is removing it, but it is still here after the required system restart. frustrating

just tried again in safe mode as admin. got almost the same message. unable to delete BDShellExt.dll

I notice on reboot now that a screen says something about a "partizan" for (company type name I didn't see long enough) the I do remember from my searches to be part of the Baidu anti-virus
