Banner message stating that the site may be vulnerable

I am running AVG Free. All of a sudden, I think since last update,  I get a banner message from AVG stating that the site I am on may be vulnerable and not to share personal info.  These are major sites like BedBathand Beyond and Kohls.  Almost every site I go to.  What is going on? How do I stop this? Thanks
