I tried it with Firefox and Chrome. I tried going to bath and body works and when it aborts the connection, the images do not show up or they partially show up. I just wanted to know if this is an issue on my local pc or the website and if it is my side, how would I fix it?

However, as both the AVG programs on your computer reports it as infection, it could be possibly an issue with the website itself.

Maybe it is on my side, but my wife is getting that the site Bath & Body Works is infected in a downloader. End result it stops downloading images. I tried it on another PC at home and I get the same popup for AVG. My wife feels somehow we are infected and I feel it is something on the site that is causing it (seems odd that 2 different computers with AVG, pops up with this infection).
How do I know if it is on my side or the companies site?

It seems to be an issue with the website itself. To check this, we'd suggest you to submit a false positive request by visiting this link.
A group of analysts will check the website & will whitelist the website if it goes through the clean notes of AVG. As it takes some time, you can try accessing the website after few days to check.
You can be rest assured that AVG basic protection (Free Antivirus) would monitor the web activities & blocks any connections that are found to be malicious, in order to protect your computer.
