Hi Cyril,
We're glad to look into this & help you.
Before proceeding, we'd like to clarify how VPN works. It helps us to mask the IP address of the computer & make it to pose in a different region to bypass geolocation restrictions.
Sometimes, this issue might happen if you've connected through Secure VPN by choosing a different location (server) other than UK.
In your case, it seems to be unusual. If Secure VPN is disconnected, then your computer's geolocation will not be changed.
Unfortunately, certain streaming services has taken counter measures to block its users from accessing its content through Secure VPN servers. While we do continue to add new servers and IP addresses, they are quite fast to identify the same.
However, you can attempt to change the location to Wonderland or Glasgow in Secure VPN to check if it allows you to access BBC iPlayer.
I have just installed AVG VPN and I am unable to access the bbc i player it states I am not in the UK even if the VPN is switched off or on and in desperation I contacted the BBC who told me to uninstall the said product they have told me that they have checked my IP address and it says your IP address is from a VPN service called Avast I assume this is the supplied software I purchased from you?? so what's the solution do I uninstall the product and then reinstall it or do I have to obtain a new licence code or new IP address hope someone can help Cyril

I have tried locations Glasgow and Wonderland and the problem remains the same I am also experiencing problems accessing some Websites ie TUI Groupon I don't know how many other Websites may be affected at present I only know that by turning off VPN everything seems to work ok so it would appear that the installed VPN is totally useless I have installed this software on both my computers and both react the same so is there any way of solving this problem or do I have to uninstall the software and attempt to try and get a refund Cyril
