I apologize for the inconvenience. We need to remove all the AVG Traces completely from your computer and then install AVG Free. Once uninstalled, please click the link https://www.avg.com/en-us/free-antivirus-download to install AVG Antivirus free.
Note: Before starting the installation, please select "Basic protection" to install AVG Free

I am unable to open the AVG interface or run the scan. I get the error message "Your Internet Security Trail has expired" and it forces me to buy the paid options. All I want is the basic free package. I tried uninstalling the software and reinstalling it but does not work. Also, I see only a "repair" and an "uninstall" option at the time of uninstalling the software. I thought there was an option to "revert to AVG Free" but I do not see that. Could you please help?
