I'm following up regarding your concern on beta program. The Beta program is limited to certain period due to licensing terms. Within the specific time, the original version of the program itself will be released. Hence, you may not be able to use beta version continuesly. We have to reinstall beta version or convert the program to free/paid version. I understand, this would be a inconvenient situation for you. Unfortunately, we do not have a alternative solution for this. Appreciate your understanding.
Yes, you are correct about the difference between the beta and the tester version. Beta version does include bugs and it is in the testing phase by our developer's. Based on the feedback from our beta users, a new update will be released. Whereas the trial version is bug free and it is available for all our users.
If you are not satisfied with the product, you can unsubscribe from the trial version anytime. To know more about the beta version, please refer this https://is.gd/Kj1HRZ link.
Hello Community, I now ask the question here, after the "official" support is unfortunately unable to answer the question for months...
What is the difference between the official "test version" and the "beta version" ? (Internet Security) In the beta versions the AVG page says: "The use of all beta products is completely free". However, the same 30-day countdown will run as for a trial version (tested on multiple computers with "clean" OS).
So what makes it different? Should the trial version be a "bug-free" trial version and the beta a "buggy" trial version? Apart from the fact that in 30 days a reasonable testing is hardly possible.
Support cannot provide an answer to this question, despite repeated requests... which does not suggest anything good about the support behavior, in case of "serious" problems... apart from the fact that you don't even get feedback when reporting a supposed bug...

Unfortunately an important aspect of my question has remained open.
Why is there this nonsensical 30-day restriction on the beta as well?
On test computers running different scenarios, this limitation is only annoying and obstructive. And the phrase "completely free" on the AVG page is also wrong in this context, because actually it is only "30 days free". What is the purpose of this? The beta testers are annoying? Sure, I can reinstall after 30 days and then test again for 30 days, but honestly… who does that? Then I invest my time rather into another program…
By the way, the Link you provided is buggy… leads to nowhere…
I'm sorry about the link provided earlier. Ranjani was referring to the webage https://www.avg.com/en-gb/beta-program. You said, you could use AVG Beta only for 30 days and it turns out to be free. I understand, this is an inconvence for Beta users. Generally, there is no expiry for Beta. But, I will have to verify this with my team here. We will message you once we confirm this information. Appreciate your patience.
