Billed for subscription and now being told mine expires

I was billed for a subscription that I was notified only the same day of on my paypal.
I am fine paying for a renewed subscription with proper notice so I wasn't very happy about it but it is what it is.
Now I'm being told my subscription ends in 5 days when I had already paid the 99.99 for another year. 
Am I missing the updated code? Where do I find that?
