Bitlocker USB drive - cannot access

I have an external USB drive which is encrypted usign Bitlocker.  Previously (with AVG free) l simply typed the password to access this drive. (Win 7).  Now AVG has updated itself there is no option in File Explorer to access the drive via the password.  The facility to temporarily stop AVG has also gone - so l cannot now access my important work data.  How do l enable access to an encrypted USB hard drive?

We regret for the inconvenience. We suggest you to disable AVG program and then check for the problem. Please right click on the AVG icon located in the system tray. Turn off the Protection and then check it
