Hello Sarah,

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused.
We aware of this issue and we are about to find a complete fix for this but we have set of troubleshooting methods to get your PC boot normally.
Have you tried booting your PC into Safe mode once?
Are you using the free, trial or paid version of AVG program?

I have the same exact issue!!! Only I am using the free version. But I have to get into my computer ASAP!! Reboot is not helping, it just goes back to the black parameters screen.

I have this below issue.  Using 2016 AVG AntiVirus Protection on a OS 64 bit.  Laptop will not start only gives this error message on a black screen.  How can I fix it and get my laptop working again?

PHASE 0
- starting watch dog initialization
- loading configuration( root kernel, set up)
- pre initialization events
- creating watch dog dynamic key list
- sub systems initialization
- finished

Phase 1:
- Initialize Components
- starting reactor
- starting components
- starting internal subsystems
- starting command channels
-  Srm start actions
- starting external subsystems
- finished

I have the paid version of AVG.
I was able to get in using Safe Mode.
Can I use the AVG removal tool while in Safe Mode?
I have a Windows 10 OS 64 bit   Dell

We regret for the inconvenience caused. We would request you to use AVG Rescue Cd to restart your system.The AVG Rescue CD can be used either in the form of a CD/DVD or as an USB memory device. In both cases, the computer must be able to boot system from this device.
