Black Screen - Watch Dog Initialization

Well we got rid of the Logitech Keyboard because our IT guy said it was causing the problem. So, now she has a Microsoft keyboard and mouse and it has started doing the same thing. How do we fix the issue with the wireless Microsoft keyboard and mouse?

Hello Amanda,
We are sorry to know that you got watchdog error. To fix this issue, we suggest you to unplug any wireless or USB device connected to the computer. Once all USB devices are unplugged please try to reboot your computer.
Thank you

My co-worker is occasionally getting a black screen that says the dates and times with phases listed and the first line looks like this:

2017-01-16 22:07:00.243 Phase 0 : Starting Watch Dog Initialization :

Our IT guy said it was caused by the Logitech Keyboard and Mouse interfering with AVG. So, we replaced the keyboard and mouse with a Microsoft. That was two weeks ago and she just had the black screen happen again. She is running Windows 10.

What can we do to fix this issue?

Hello Amanda,
This issue is caused by outdated Logitech drivers and is unconnected with AVG Software. As such, any issue should be reported to Logitech support.

Please follow the steps below to work around this issue:
Reboot the system in safemode
Uninstall the USB Controller in safemode
Restart the system
Upon restart, let Windows re-install the USB controllers
Download and install the latest Setpoint drivers from Logitech found http://support.logitech.com/en_ca/software/setpoint
Thank you.

Does that include wireless keyboards and mouses? Meaning she can't have a wireless keyboard and mouse because of AVG?

Hello Amanda,
Please be informed that Microsoft has confirmed that the issue is caused by outdated Keyboard and mouse drivers/USB drivers and is unconnected with AVG software. You can remove Microsoft keyboard and mouse and try again. The issue is not because of AVG, you can contact your keyboard and mouse provider for more information and their drivers. Thank you.
