Vishnu,
Thanks so much. Setting to private seemed to have fixed the issue. I can now connect. I appreciate the quick and helpful advice.

Hi Darryl,
We appreciate your efforts on trying to resolve this issue. We have to configure the firewall settings to get this issue sorted out.
Please follow the below instructions to configure the firewall settings in AVG Internet Security application:
Open AVG Internet Security -> Menu at the top right -> Settings -> Components -> firewall -> customize -> system rules -> make sure all the task has been enabled.
Again, Firewall -> Customize -> Network Profiles -> change all the profiles from public to Private.
After making the above changes in AVG Internet Security, check with the issue and see if you can connect your AppleTV and let us know about the status of it.
Thanks,
Vishnu Vardan
My questions regards the use of the Squirrels screen casting program Airparrot2 version 2.7.5 (2.7.5.371). I am unable to connect to the AppleTV that runs our Ricoh projectors here at work. If I turn off AVG (Internet Security - Unlimited), I am able to connect immediately. I can then turn AVG back on and the connection remains.
1) I tried adding Airparrot2 to the exceptions as suggested in another post. But even with the Airparrot2 Folder selected (I do not have the option to add an .exe file that this post suggests, only allowed to add folders) and added the entire folder to the exceptions
2) Since I couldn't add the file by selected, I typed the file path (C:\Program Files\AirParrot 2\AirParrot2.exe) and added that.
I did this for both the File Exceptions and Behavior Exceptions. In either case, I am still unable to connect without first turning AVG off.
Any suggestions?
Darryl
