Thank you for your response, but what part of "I've clicked Allow a few times. Still no change." don't you understand? That screenshot was taken after clicking the allow button 20 times with no change. It is not allowing me to allow it… Why else post on here when I could have done that myself.
It's OK, I'll just manulally scan. Whatever.
Alok,
Sorry for needing to point out the obvious here, but several people in this posting have already made it pretty clear that Mac OSX (10.13.3) is not allowing AVG to be added as a valid developer.
Your instructions mentioned above are instructing users to do the same thing that they already posted, with the same images as your instructions - are you even reading the details of these posts verses what you have been told to post as a possible solution?
The support here is proving to be very disappointing … please communicate with your test and development staff to test for fix this problem.
Hello!
If you disable Magic prefs and then click the allow button it vill work.
Akash,
Let me start by letting you know what my expectations are, since you are appearing to make some large assumptions here.
I don't expect software to be bug free
I do expect that when a problem is submitted to a software developer about an application that every possible effort by the testing team be made to duplicate the problem before advice/solution is given. It's ok to say that your team is validating or working on the problem.
I don't expect to given instructions like uninstall/reinstall the application and running script files before your text team can validate the problem. If your text team can't duplicate the problem, say that they are still working on the problem - don't throw your problems back to your customer - it's not making them happy which is a silly main goal, because if your published software is breaking there are going to be unhappy people - like now.
As far as feedback goes you have several customers here describing the issue - it shouldn't be that difficult to duplicate. If you keep telling them to do things that they already described that they'vd done, that isn't going to make them happy either - it also sadly shows that the feedback team there at AVG doesn't really understand what the customer is telling them ) :
Understanding the problem and fixing it in a prompt manner would seem, at least to me a much better way to keep your customers happy - but that's just me.
I don't like any software (that should be run in the background and be quiet) to tell me daily that there is a problem and I can't fix it. I will be unisntalling this software this afternoon with hopes that maybe sometime in the future that this issue is addressed.
By the way - the script you sent me to run failed - please send this to your developers -
xxxxxxx$ ./avg_drivers.sh

FileShield driver load successfull.
/Library/Application Support/AVGAntivirus/components/proxy/signed/AVGPacketForwarder.kext failed to load - (libkern/kext) system policy prevents loading; check the system/kernel logs for errors or try kextutil(8).
Hi Julius, I appreciate your efforts in trying to fix the issue. Please follow the steps provided in this article and check if that resolves the issue: How to allow AVG AntiVirus software extensions in macOS 10.13 High Sierra
I have exactly the same behaviour and have tried uninstalling and installing AVG with no luck… something is wrong with AVG here!
I got a message on AVG saying that I'm not protected.
"You are not protected
AntiVirus extentions turned off. Please allow them in system preferences."
I clicked the "Fix all" button. This opens the system preferences > security & privacy. I unlocked the screen on the padlock and then clicked the "allow" button next to "System software from developer 'AVG Technologies CZ, s.r.o.' was blocked from loading." Nothing happens. I've clicked Allow a few times. Still no change.
I don't see how I can attach a screen shot.

Hi Jim,
We apologize if an AVG product did not meet your expectations. Our main goal is to keep our customers happy.
AVG carefully monitors the quality of our products and the service we provide, therefore all feedback from our customers is important to us.
I request you run this script from Terminal and then try allowing the extension. If the issue persists, please provide me with a screenshot of the Terminal Window.
Here is an article with the steps to run a script in Terminal: How to run a sh script in Terminal

Having the same exact issue. Has there been a solution? Clicking "allow" is not working.
Hello Markus,
I understand the inconvenience.
Please provide the (screenshot) of AVG Antivirus interface and the "System Preferences–>Security & Privacy" window to assist further.

Hello Jim,
Thank you for sharing the results. We checked this issue further with our developers. This looks more likely caused by Mac configuration and 3rd party software configuration. Please refer the following link for more details.

Thanks, Shankara

Have you tried the steps as mentioned in this (article) to check whether it resolves the issue?
