This past Sept.19th i renewed my license for the AVG internet security suite on my desktop pc at the annual 59.00 price. Everything was fine until the first of this week when i turned ON the desktop and found i had NO internet connection access via my wired ethernet connection on my desktop. My ine.modem router is from ATT Uverse and the WIFI connection from the router to my laptop is just fine. On the desktop i disabled the AVG firewall and still NO internet access. From command prompt i ran ipconfig/all and nothing came up. My laptop will connect just fine through the same ethernet cable my desktop is using through the Uverse router but the desktop will NOT. Device Manager in desktop shows perfect with NO problems, Diagnose with the built in troulbleshooter shows a possible driver issue but the device manager /network adapter ethernet shows just fine and working properly. From Command prompt as administrator i ran the the three netsh commands and rebooted and still NO internet access. Finally i uninstall the PAID for AVG security suite and i have my internet connection back just fine through the ATT Uverse router. Ran ipconfig/all and it now shows all the correct parameters. My question is How do i get my money back for this AVG program that has caused mt and other folks problems similar to this that has caused some folks to do a complete reformat back to windows 8.1 or 7. I upgraded to windows 10 BEFORE i renewed my AVG subscription on Sept. 19th. Should i demand a refund or reinstall this AVG suite and reactivate it with my latest paid for seril number ? This is really disgustin and dont really know if the software glitch that caused this was MS 10 OS or the Fault of an AVG update. You tell me my best route to take ?
Regards, Ron
Thanks for the reply but it is quite obvious you did NOT read my initial post here that indicated i have ALREADY removed or uninstalled the PAID version of the AVG 2015 Internet Security Suite and i NOW have an Internet connection. I renewed my 1 yr. subscription which was due to expire on Sept. 19th, 2015. The new subscription is good or will expire on Sept.19th, 2016 next year. I have already sent a request for a Full refund to AVG and definitely have NO intentions of ever using this software in any of my devices in the future. So i wont be re-installing AVG in my PC ever again.
Regards, Ron
