Please clarify whether the issue happens in a specific browser or irrespective of browser & let us know what happens exactly while your son attempts to login to the site. Do you receive any error message?
If so, please share us the screenshot of it for better clarity. 
Also, clarify whether you use the VPN service to connect to internet.

Hi All

Ive recently upgraded to AVG internet security and since then my son cant log on to a school website 

"https://thecowplainschool.sparxmaths.uk/student"     Im unable to deactivate what every is blocking access to it ?  

Can someone help before I remove AVG

No VPN is used .

With AVG installed access is blocked and it just sits in this loading page,  after 5 minutes it fails as says there is a network error.   On a machine without AVG installed access loads in a few seconds.
