Apparently somebody gave AVG a god complex Avg being a program you can install and uninstall is a thing of the past . Once you install avg it embeds itself into system files to not allow the Computer to run without it they basically turned the program into a trojan horse
So like many others i now have a blue screen of death i’ve been trying to use reg edit to remove avg to allow my computer to boot again but i’m having trouble not sure if the removal tool can be ran in bios or not ? Hopefully the fcc and trade commission are aware of what’s going on this type of aggressive and predatory programming tactics to force customers to remain loyal is crazy! I run a computer repair company And I will be, reminding all my customers to stay far away from this product you do not own my computer as much as you would like to lol
Update :: if you are it’s completely unable to get into save mode boot to recovery environment f1 after restarting several times go to advanced options command promt locate the infected drive cd to /windows/system32/drivers/
Dir /p to display drivers one page at a time right down all files with AVG on paper or take a picture then proceed to delete every file by using (del + AvgVmm.sys, ect)
Del Filename.sys, filename.sys you can list multiple file names.Just be sure to include a a comma and space (, ) after that reboot locate windows repair and your good
