Yesterday I had AVG popup and say my virus protection was out of date. Fine. I told it to update. Now when I start my Express VPN program it goes to the blue screen of death and gives me the following message: UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP (avgsbinsdriver.sys). I am in America and when I called AVG, I talked to 3 different people, all overseas. The 1st person said it was a known bug and they could not fix my problem, and kept escalating it to another higher up person. The last one told me that it was going to a developer and I should wait for up to 5 days for a resolution. I tried to explain that I could not do that and they said it was out of their hands. This morning I uninstalled all AVG products and switched over to Norton. All is fine now. AVG support left me no hope. I was a customer for over 5 years.
