Bluestacks 5 no longer working

Sometime last week BlueStacks 5 stopped working. It appears to load but fails to complete loading process or it completes the loading process but freezes when trying to load a game. I use AVG Ultimate on Windows 7 Ultimate. If I disable AVG, BlueStacks 5 runs normally but this is not acceptable as my system is no longer protected. Is there a fix or setting I need to adjust to correct this issue
