Here is the photo. I was able to delete the history a few minutes after I sent my previous message to you (I'm guessing the issue was that there were so many entries, it needed more time to process them). I'd like to stress that I am not concerned about the browser history. I am asking if AVG could find a way to prevent such browser/computer hijacking events from occurring. If not, then, at the very least, add the offending website (entire domain?) to your blacklist, so that others will be warned about it.
Steffi,
Let's have a look at it together. We haven't received screenshot to check with it. Please attach it now to have better understanding.
Do you get any error while trying to delete the history from Firefox?
Have you tried to reset your browser and checked with the issue?
Is there a way to stop or get past web pages that lock-up the keyboard or similarly freeze the browser/computer? azurewebsites.net displays a bogus warning, and freezes your computer by constantly going to a different page within its domain (see attached image which shows a short URL, then it becomes progressively longer, simply by adding a digit to the end). AVG failed to recognize it. I was forced to reboot. There seemed to be no ill effects (i.e., no startup issues; no damaged or missing files; no viruses (after a thorough search by AVG)). I added the domain to "BlockSites" add-on. I have Win 10 and used Firefox, accessed Yahoo.com to search for a recipe, clicked the very first/top link (specialsweetrecipes.com), and boom! Maybe Yahoo and that link were hijacked, but, I have no way of knowing that. There were 683 entries in Firefox's history for azurewebsites.net (for some reason, I can't delete them from history). FWIW, I am a computer programmer with over 40 years of experience, including over 20 as a computer repairman (software/hardware installs, repairs, etc).

Thank you. Please note that these kind of tool bars and search engines get into the computer along with some other software or if we visit any untrustworthy websites accidentally. I would request to uninstall unknown add ons from your web browsers and consider to reset the browser settings to default.
For some reason, the photo is not showing up in the messages. So, I put it on my website at Site en construction .
