Boot broken, trying to disable, cannot find system files

I can find these files in the right place on another, working machine. SO, it is possible that these files were not actually created and it broke. then, how to disable?

I have a broken avg 2015 installation. I am trying to disable by booting the AVG rescue disk and using the file manager to rename systems files.

However, in Windows 7, when I browse to mnt/sd1//Windows/System32/drivers, there are no files like
avg*.sys so I can't rename them.

Where are these files located so I can disable AVG?

HELP!!!

Hi Rick,
Yes, they should be there.
You can rename/delete other files mentioned in this post (http://forums.avg.com/ww-en/avg-forums?sec=thread&act=show&id=94159).
Thanks
