Boot loop in Win 10 & Safe Mode perm replaced by AVG Cleaner

Hello Don,
It's unfortunate and we apologize for the inconvenience. Have you tried to uninstall AVG using AVG clear tool?
When you use clear tool it will prompt you with an option to reboot your device in safe mode where you have to choose "No". Else, it will reboot your device in safe mode to run that tool which is not recommended.
Do you get AVG Clear option on boot options? Could you share the screenshot of it to have better understanding?

Just tried to install latest version of AVG on new Lenovo desktop and it went into a boot loop.   Finally had to restore, losing 2 days of the new system build.   Now I ran the AVG Cleaner and a new option appeared where Safe Mode used to be, so I clicked on that new icon and the PC booted to safe mode where I ran the avgclean.exe.   It appeared to work but now my Windows Security troubleshooting Setup has a permanent option icon stating "AVG Cleaner" replacing the previous Safe Mode and that new unwanted option won't go away.

Just lost an entire week over the holiday of rebuilding my new system.   Could have enjoyed the holiday with my family drinking and relaxing, yet I tried to get ahead of my busy schedule  instead of working on this system just to have everything lost when the AVG install happened.

If I can't get my windows safe mode option back, it looks like I have to format the disk and lose about 8 full days of work so far.
