BOOTKIT DETECTED in safe mode

There are 2 anti-virus programs on your system. See this link (http://forums.avg.com/ww-en/avg-forums?sec=thread&act=show&id=441)

Hi Zbynek
Either he is fixed or his PC is screwed !!!
Anyway, I have run GMER and have the output from the Safe Mode scan. Could I upload them to AVG ? Do I need a reference number or anything ?? I also have the result screen from the Bootkit Remover. Do you think it is worth me uploading them for you to see ?? Also, even after running the Bootkit Remover, I have run another Safe Mode scan and the two lines reporting it still appear.

Colin

Hi Colin,
I don't know we didn't hear anything back from him.
Thanks

Hi when I try to scan a pc in windows 7 safe mode I receive the message:
DETECTED BOOTKIT.61030040.F987090C is ok
If I try to scan the pc in normal mode I don't receive the message…
The scan doesn't resolve the problem… if i retry to scan I receive the message…

What is means?
Solution?
Other antivirus doesn't detectd the virus.

Thank you

You've stated 'Other antivirus doesn't detect the virus'. What other antivirus do you actually have installed on your system besides AVG?.

The pc has just been formatted..

Hi Simone,

In order to analyze it please provide us with GMER (http://kb.avg.com/articles/en_US/How_to/GMER-Scan-Result/) and AVG scan result export (http://kb.avg.com/articles/en_US/How_to/AVG-scan-result-export/).

Thanks
