Both the VPN and Anti-Track popped up with an expiration notice, but when I clicked on them they were still well within the date for renewal. One is still over a year away.

We regret the inconvenience caused. Please reactivate your AVG Internet Security as mentioned in this article and check if the issue persists.
Similarly, make sure that your AVG Secure VPN and AVG AntiTrack have also been activated and check the status.
