Broken install, can't uninstall or repair

Hello Gordon,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
May I know the name of Operating system and the AVG program that you have installed on your PC?
Also mention whether it is trial, free or paid version?
When you open AVG do you get the AVG Zen window opened up?

Basically what the topic says. AVG can't scan, I get error messages saying it's not compatible with Windows or broken, and repairing and uninstalling both fail

Ok, while the removal tool said it failed, after a reboot it seems to be working so far.

The only difference is that now trying to close the error message also doesn't work

As I said in the first post, the repair option does not work. 

"Error code: 0xE0010002
Description: Event exec_finished"

AVG remover failed to complete. Same error message, 0xc0000020 bad image
