Since the last update I am having very annoying issues with my normal logins. AVG seems to be stripping out the https from secure logins and I end up at the non-secure pages. None of my regular logins are being remembered and any changes I make (saving new logins etc are not sticking.
It's getting to the point where I will be looking for another solution.

Please let us know the version of AVG that is installed on your computer (Open AVG - Menu - About).
If you suspect that AVG is causing the issue, you can temporarily disable AVG protection.
Alternately, you can try resetting Firefox browser once to check if it helps.
