Please confirm if it is AVG Internet Security or AVG Antivirus free that is installed on your PC. If it is AVG Internet Security, please make sure that your AVG is configured with below recommended settings.
1) Open the AVG Internet Security and click on Menu>Settings>Components>Firewall>Customize>Network profile. Change it to Private if it is set to Public.
2) Open the AVG Internet Security and click on Menu>Settings>Components>Firewall>Customize>Policies tab>System Rules. Select Enabled for Allow Windows File and Printer Sharing.
My scanner askes to connect with the PC and that request does not arrive. The only thing it can be is the AVG. I have looked to see the firewall setting but this not available.
