Hello Steve,
Thank you for contacting AVG Community Support.
We apologize for the trouble caused. We'll certainly check and help you out.
Generally, you will get this error when there is an intermittent issue in the network. Mostly, this might be due to heavy network traffic, in that case changing the VPN location may solve this issue.
If the issue persists even after changing the location, then kindly modify the VPN protocol settings using the below steps and check the issue.
> Open AVG Secure VPN ☰ Menu ▸ Settings ▸ VPN protocols > Set to "Mimic"
Thank you and keep us updated.
I use Mozilla-Firefox as my browser. Intermittentlly the internet appears to drop out. But this isn't true as if you go to check your wifi connection under settings, you are still connected. If you then turn VPN off, all is fine. For the past month or so this has been happening more and more frequently. Any suggestions as to how to fix would be appreciated.
