There is no error message. However when I open chrome my browser automatically goes to Search marquis or Bing. I have checked to make sure that my search engine is set to google (in the settings from google). I have done my research and I know that this is a browser hijacker.

I have inserted a link for a question that was already submitted to your support by someone else. This is exactly what has happened to my computer. I downloaded AVG hoping it would help with this situation and it did nothing. I managed to get it off of my Safari browser (for now), however it did nothing to chrome. I have followed the instructions on this support question above, but there has been no success with that either. Can you please help?
Okay.Thank you for your help! I just went back to check that setting again and played witht that setting a bit. I changed the setting from "open new tab page" to "open a specific page or set of pages" and it seems to have solved the problem. I do want to make sure that there is no chance of "Search marquis" still being on my computer. Is there a way to block the site so it doesn't happen again?

Please clarify whether you've checked the settings that is set to open at startup (Chrome - Menu - settings - On startup).
