I've done my best to cut AVG down to just basic system AV, but it has it's tentacles into everything no matter what.
I keep getting these very anoying "AVG YAHOO HANDELER ERROR" messages when I open a link to a new page. Not always, but more than 50% of the time.
Here is what I know-
When the error happens, if I manually type in the url then I get there no problem.
If I close the tab and try again it sometimes happens, other times it goes through.
In all cases when the new tab gets the error, I am seeing search results instead of the page im trying to go to.
Additionally, I have changed from the AVG search(which doesnt bring up relevant information anyway) back to pure google default and neither AVG nor Yahoo are listed as search engines.
Therefore, this has to be a redirect for when something happens.
I am positive the redirect is AVG responding to some other issue real or not.
I want it to stop! I'd just assume get a 404 page than to see that search results page, especially when I am on my own up and running web site, which was professionally designed and hosted.
Any information on this would be greatly appreciated.
