Browser Passwords NOT protected

Have read and followed all instructions supplied to others regarding this subject but unable to resolve the following problem :- 
When opening up AVG Password Protection I am warned that my Browser (Google Chrome) Passwords are NOT protected although it states that my OnLine Accounts ARE protected.
It allows me to run a scan to detect any problems which works OK but I cannot get rid of the warning.
The STOP/START process in Services.msc has no effect on the problem. The warning also asks me to make sure my AVG Anti Virus  (Unlimited) is running which it is.
Can anybody suggest I try something else, Regards, Fred.
