Browser performance

Hi Graham,

We're glad to look into this & help you.
Please clarify whether you experience this issue in a specific browser or irrespective of browsers.
Meanwhile, please try connecting to different servers (locations) that are available in AVG Secure VPN to check if it helps.

Thanks Dinesh - the problems are evident particularly using the AVG secure browser, but also on Google Chrome. For instance, if I set my location as Berlin, my BBC account disappears and I'm directed to the generic BBC site with none of my settings. It's also still impossibly slow on both AVG and Chrome browsers. I just tried watching BBC2 on the BBC iPlayer - works perfectly without VPN - as soon as I switch VPN on it fails and I get a message saying "This content is not working - try again".  I tried changoing the server location to UK, London which is the "optimal location" but this made no difference.

Hi everyone,
Every time I switch VPN on, my AVG secure browser slows to a crawl - so much so, that I can't even play a video on YouTube! As soon as I switch it off the problem disappears. I run Windows 10 on a Dell laptop. Anyone else had this problem and is there a fix? Without it, this product is unusable.

We do understand your concern, Graham.
I'd recommend you to try the P2P/Streaming location and check the status. Probably, it would resolve all of your concerns.
In any case, if the issue persists, please contact our AVG technician (https://support.avg.com/support_contact_form?l=en) who will certainly help you to resolve this matter.
Thanks for your understanding.

Namaste Hari Shankar - are you saying I have to go through this process for each individual website I want to use? Seems like a lot of work and not really something that was explained when I purchased VPN, albeit as part of the Ultimate package. I assumed that VPN was something I switched on which would instantly protect my privacy whilst I am browsing, not something I have to spend time learning how to set up bypass routes for each website I want to visit. As it is, all it does is mess up my browsing experience and is unusable.
