I have AVG free. I've had an AVG logo window pop open every time I turn on my computer telling me I need to update my browser security settings. I tried calling AVG support, they had no idea what I was talking about. I don't know if this is legitimate. I have clicked on it to "apply security settings" and then it just sits there forever looking like it's applying something but nothing ever happens. If it's real how long is it supposed to take. There is no minimizer or close button on it and it stays there whenever my browser (Firefox) is open. I want to know if it's real or malware, and if not, why doesn't support know about it and why can't it just work? I want it to go away.
Any help?

Yes, that's it. Thanks for your help. It comes on every time I open the browser. If I say Remind Me Later and check "Never" it just comes on a few browser openings later. And again, if I click on it, it just endlessly circles like it's doing something with nothing happening.
