Hello, Jason.
I apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused to you. Could you provide a screenshot ( http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot ) of the threat detection pop up from AVG to assist you further? Please click on 'More details' at the bottom right hand corner of the pop up. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
You will need to add https://login.microsoftonline.com/* to the Web Shield Exceptions. AVG Control>Menu>Settings>Components Customize Web Shield Select exceptions on left nav. Be sure the web sheild is turned on and the "URLs to exclude" is checked.
Thank you for the update, Jason.
I am glad to know that your issue with BT connect is now resolved after an update.
Feel free to contact us if you need any assistance with AVG.
Have a nice day!!!
Hello
I have a btconnect email account, which I access through Chrome. Today, AVG started blocking access to the site - the URL begins with https://login.microsoftonline.com/login.srf.
Anyone know why this is? AVG says the site is infected with HTML:Phishing something (not all details visible).
Is this a genuine problem with the site? Or can I whitelist it on my own installation ?
Thanks
Jason
Hi I posted exactly the same post yesterday. I thought that a reboot had solved the problem but it is back this morning.
The problem occurs with I.E. and Firefox
Jason,
Thank you for providing the screenshot. May I know if you receive this pop up while visiting the web site or when you try to open an email after logging into email account? I would also suggest you to use a different web browser and check the issue.
Hi Avinash
Please see attached…
Thanks
Jason
Jason,
I understand the inconvenience, let’s try to fix it together.
I suggest you update your AVG Internet Security Virus Definitions and check if that fixes the issue.
To update your AVG, please go to Internet Security>Menu>Settings>Update and then click on Update.
Hi I posted exactly the same thing yesterday - I thought I had fixed it by rebooting but the error has come back.
It occurs on IE and Firefox.
