Bug found on latest avg linux 2013

Hi
Here is a link to the whole log directory in zip format:
Dropbox - File Deleted - Simplify your life
This error is occurring on a busy mta server (more than 4k msg/hour).
Avgscand does not close scanned files and fill up to OS Maximum Open Files (usually 1024 on rhel, imposed with ulimit -n); we check it with this command:
# ls -l /proc/pidof avgscand/fd/
total 0
lr-x------ 1 root root 64 Dec 19 13:14 0 -> /dev/null
l-wx------ 1 root root 64 Dec 19 13:14 1 -> /dev/null
lrwx------ 1 root root 64 Dec 19 13:14 10 -> socket:[679109908]

Hi Claudio,
In order to analyze it please provide us with log files (/opt/avg/av/log/0/)?
Thanks

Hi Claudio,
I would like to let you know that the data has been passed to our developers (ARL-83). Please note that this thread will be updated when further information is required from our team.
Thanks

We discovered a bug on avg linux 2013.
avg scand daemon process the file passed by amavis / avgtcpd but after a scan it does not close the file descriptor, even when the file is cancelled
lr-x------ 1 root root 64 Dec 17 09:16 273 -> /opt/zimbra/data/amavisd/tmp/amavis-20141217T090508-24269-56vHfykr/parts (deleted)
So avgscand after a while reach the open file limit imposed by the os with the ulimit command and hangs.
avgtcpd is not able to recognize the error and don't restart avgscand. we have to kill the avgscand process and wait until avgtcpd restart it or to restart all the avgd daemon
As I read in the latest readme that unwanted deletetion was the last problem solved, maybe previous version are not affected from this bug.
Does anyone knows how to download a version older than 3118 of this product?
Regards
Claudio
