It was extremely hard to get an answer for the question but I think the answer is that it is not possbile to buy AVG without starting a subscription.

Hi,

I would like to buy AVG antivirus for two years but I do not want a subscription. Is that possible or should I keep using the free version?

As the name denotes, AVG Free Antivirus is free to use. It isn't required to subscribe a license to try AVG Free Antivirus. 
Whereas, AVG Internet Security is a paid version & you may need to subscribe a license to use it, as informed by our colleagues. While subscribing, you'll be able to choose whether or not to enroll the license to automatic renewal.
