Hello Andrea,

Thank you for bringing this to our notice. Yes, they are not part of AVG. Bytefence in general is distributed as a 'bundle' with other software. Please check in your Control panel - program lists and uninstall Byte fence.

I keep getting popups from ByteFence showing that there are threats to my computer.  They are trying to imply that they are part of the AVG protection group but I don't believe it.  Does anyone else have any experience or knowledge of the ByteFence program?  Is it malware protection…or malware?
